WHO WE ARE

Elevate MK is co-founded and led by Stephanie Okumi, who calls Milton Keynes home. Its mission is to empower Black heritage professionals to connect, collaborate and accelerate their careers. As the city continues to grow and diversify - there is a clear need for spaces where Black professionals can build genuine connections, share experiences and feel supported in their career journeys.

Our goal is simple: to build a strong, visible and connected community where professionals can learn from one another, expand their networks and grow together.

Through social mixers, panel discussions and partnerships, including working alongside Milton Keynes City Council during MK Tech Week 2025 - Elevate MK bridges the gap between the wider business and tech community and Black heritage professionals in the city.

Since launching in 2025, Elevate MK has grown through strong engagement and a shared desire for career development. At its core, Elevate MK exists to strengthen community, amplify voices and create opportunities for Black heritage professionals to thrive both individually and collectively.
