WHO WE ARE

Elevate MK is a Black heritage professional network co-founded and led by Stephanie Okumi, supporting professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses across Milton Keynes through connection, collaboration and opportunity.

Founded in 2025, our mission is to celebrate diverse talent, unlock potential and strengthen links between Black heritage professionals and Milton Keynes’ wider business, innovation and technology ecosystem.

Through networking events, professional development and community-led initiatives, we provide spaces for people to share knowledge, build relationships and grow together. While our work is centred on empowering the Black heritage community, Elevate MK welcomes allies, organisations and individuals who believe in creating a more inclusive and connected city.

Working with partners including Unity Place, Milton Keynes City Council and MK Tech Week, we are helping increase visibility, encourage collaboration and create pathways for underrepresented talent across Milton Keynes.

Rooted in the city, Elevate MK is building a network that supports career progression while contributing to a more diverse, innovative and thriving business community.
